Chill Out supplied an indoor cooling solution at the Khayelitsha CBD Hall for a Pre-SONA Presidential Youth Engagement hosted by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) on 10 February 2026.

The engagement formed part of the lead-up to the State of the Nation Address. The keynote speech was delivered by President Cyril Ramaphosa. The event brought together youth representatives, organisers, and stakeholders inside the Khayelitsha CBD Hall.

The venue measures approximately 500m². With a high number of attendees gathered inside a fully enclosed hall during February temperatures, effective airflow and temperature management were essential to maintain comfort throughout the programme.

Our team delivered and installed the units on 9 February 2026. This allowed sufficient time for positioning and airflow planning ahead of the engagement. We positioned the coolers strategically throughout the hall to distribute airflow evenly across seating areas and prevent heat buildup in high-density zones. Collection took place post-event at approximately 17:00 on 10 February 2026.

Chill Out provided an indoor cooling solution at Wonderland Guest House & Spa in Hout Bay, Cape Town, supporting a NYE event held on 31 December 2025.

Although Wonderland offers both indoor and outdoor spaces, this rental focused exclusively on indoor event areas. These spaces were used throughout the evening. Additionally, the venue hosted multiple activations across different rooms, requiring flexible cooling coverage that could adapt as the event progressed.

As a result, the cooling setup included four large-size evaporative air coolers and one medium-size unit, strategically positioned across several indoor spaces. Chill Out initially installed two large units in a dedicated casino games area, while a medium unit supported a separate cigar lounge. Furthermore, we set up the remainder two large coolers in a spacious downstairs indoor area. This area transitioned later into a dancefloor and DJ area with a bar.

Later in the evening, as the casino activities concluded, the Wonderland team relocated the two large units from the casino area to the dancefloor space. This ensured consistent airflow and temperature control during peak occupancy in the later stages of the celebration.

Chill Out supplied an indoor cooling solution at Strand Tennis Club within the City of Cape Town. The multi-day tennis tournament was held inside a fully enclosed marquee. The event took place on 21 and 22 December 2025 as part of the Junior Tennis Super 8 competition.

Due to the enclosed structure, the event required cooling inside a single marquee measuring approximately 6m x 15m (90m²). With limited natural ventilation available, the space needed balanced air circulation to maintain stable internal conditions throughout daily tournament play.

To ensure the venue was fully prepared ahead of match day, Chill Out delivered and installed all equipment on 20 December 2025. After the tournament concluded, Chill Out scheduled equipment collection for 23 December 2025.

An anion, also known as a negative ion, is a charged particle released into the air by an ioniser.
These negative ions attach themselves to positively charged particles such as dust, pollen, and some airborne pollutants, causing them to become heavier and settle out of the air.

In simple terms, the ioniser is designed to improve perceived air freshness, not to cool the air itself.

What the Anion Feature Does

It’s important to set realistic expectations. When used in the right environment, the anion feature can offer the following benefits:

• Helps freshen indoor air

Negative ions can reduce certain airborne particles, which may help the air feel cleaner in enclosed spaces.

Chill Out delivered an indoor cooling solution for Sessions Billiard & Darts Club, a large multi-zone entertainment venue hosting several corporate events over a three-day rental period. The client required focused airflow for their Pro Area. This +300m² section of the club is used for high-level billiards play and corporate activities. With multiple events scheduled between 3–5 December 2025, maintaining a cool, comfortable, and consistently ventilated environment was essential.

The Session Billiard Club is a substantial venue, featuring a +300m² Pro Area, a 280m² bar section, and a 150m² smoking area. However, the client specifically needed only the Pro Area cooled for their bookings. Furthermore, this space was in constant use during the rental period. They needed airflow strong enough to circulate across the playing lanes while supporting the venue’s own existing fans.

Additionally, to ensure the client had uninterrupted cooling throughout the event sequence, we arranged delivery and setup on 3 December. Collection was scheduled for 6 December, immediately after the rental period.
