E-Sports Tournament Cooling
Chill Out supplied a targeted indoor cooling solution at the Bellville Velodrome for a large-scale E-Sports tournament held from 5–7 March 2026.
Chill Out worked in collaboration with Bad Weather Productions, a creative technology and production company responsible for the event’s technical execution and immersive experience.
The Bellville Velodrome is a multi-purpose indoor venue known for hosting large audiences and high-energy events. The space was transformed into a competitive gaming arena for a 48-hour E-Sports tournament. While the full venue spans a significantly larger capacity, the active event footprint covered approximately 1000m², requiring a focused and strategic cooling approach.
To support player comfort, equipment performance, and overall event conditions, Chill Out supplied 8 Large-size Evaporative Air Coolers. Rather than attempting to cool the entire velodrome, the deployment focused on targeted cooling within the active tournament zone. As a result, this ensured consistent airflow across player stations, staging areas, and high-traffic sections.
