PRASA Indoor Office Cooling
Chill Out supplied indoor cooling solutions at facilities operated by the PRASA across their Bellville and Salt River branches in Cape Town.
The deployment supported a combination of office spaces, control rooms, and server environments, where elevated indoor temperatures required immediate intervention to maintain stable and functional working conditions.
The project was delivered in collaboration with Plexustech, who subcontracted Chill Out to provide temporary cooling support during a period of high heat and system demand.
Given the nature of the environments involved, particularly control rooms and server areas, maintaining consistent airflow and temperature stability was critical to ensure uninterrupted operations.
To support the facilities, Chill Out supplied: 6 Large-size Evaporative Air Coolers and 6 Medium-size Evaporative Air Coolers. The units were distributed across multiple indoor zones. The colling focussed on targeted high-priority operational areas, rather than attempting to cool entire building volumes.
Cooling Setup Details
✅ 6 Large-size Evaporative Air Coolers.
✅ 6 Medium-size Evaporative Air Coolers.
✅ Office, control room, and server room coverage.
✅ Multi-site deployment (Bellville & Salt River).
✅ 1-week rental (12–19 March 2026).
Our team completed delivery and installation on 12 March 2026. This ensured all designated areas received adequate airflow from the outset of the rental period. As a result, the equipment remained in operation throughout the week with collection scheduled on 19 March 2026 following completion of the cooling requirement.
Technical environments such as control rooms and server spaces require stable temperature conditions to support both personnel and equipment performance. Temporary evaporative cooling provides a practical and efficient solution during periods of elevated heat or increased system load.
Structured deployment. Reliable performance. Supporting operational and technical environments across Cape Town.
